I took photos of the dance recital at my school. I have an eye for vibrance and color. I enjoy reds and oranges more than any other color. I like to take pictures with such vibrant colors. In the first picture, the silhouettes against the bright red background is so eye appealing. I like the color and the silhouettes give it this dramatic effect. In the second picture, it was a solo dance. It was a very slow and sorrowful kind of thing. I like the emotion in this picture. It's obvious that it was a sad piece. And more than anything, to me dance is also an art. In a sense of art imitating art. 

October

In October for my color splash assignment, I wanted to take pictures of the eyes and ONLY the eyes. I really liked this photo shoot. It was actually quite difficult. Especially when I merged the photos together into one. The colors and the contrasts were difficult to match up. I picked random subjects walking through the halls at school that I thought had pretty eyes. It went through at least 30 people. I even used teachers and older people. Not just the students. This was definitely my favorite photo shoot. If I could though, I would go back and use a macro lens and see if I could get more detail of the eye that I did.

One of the students at mp won an award and as a surprise, an american idol contestant came to our school to present this award to her. She has no idea. And they sang together in the assembly. There were so many gallons at the assembly. I got a little distracted and took a couple shots of all the balloons during the assembly. I tried to mess with the colors in photoshop especially in the second one. I like the way that the light hits the balloons. It almost looks like a tunnel of balloons.

September

I went to flagstaff for my brothers Little League tournament. I went on my own adventure into this ditch thing. It was kind of like a miniature forrest. There were big bushes and trees. It was kind of like a maze. I found all these interesting looking plants. The second picture is one of my favorites. I liked the color of the plant. I just really like the vibrance of red.

For my birthday, I got a sunflower. Which is my favorite flower. I'm not usually one to take pictures of flowers and plants. But I used a macro lens for this shoot. I wanted to bring out the textures of the sunflower. The fuzzy texture of the black of the flower. And the lines on the petals. This was probably one of the easiest photo shoots that I've done all year. I really liked the way these pictures came out too.

The first day we to our cameras we went walking around the school. We visited the cubbies and the other art classes and just took random pictures. Just to get a feel of the new Rebel T3s. I really like the cameras we have this year. And the first day we have our cameras is always the best day of the year because we just get to mess around. And we kind of do it for the whole week... :)

This is the famous oil pastels picture. I won 2nd place in the State Fair art show. I really like this picture. This is probably one of my favorite pictures that I've taken in all of the years I've been in photo. I like the colors, especially the red. I like the seductive and vibrance of the red in this picture. In fact, I like the vibrance of all the colors in this photo.
